Pokey Warren An inspiration to all
The
Internet is an amazing and often times "mind-boggling"
place. It can bring people from around the world together in
seconds. That is how we met Otis "Pokey" Warren ( he likes
to be called "Pokey" ). Somehow, via the Internet, Pokey heard music from our CD,
When
I Pray, and contacted us to ask for permission to use songs from When I Pray as background music for a DVD he was creating
called "Declare His Glory".
Pokey's love for the Lord is evident in the beautiful nature photographs
he shoots. He began his hobby of
photography in 1954. He was ordained into the Presbyterian (USA)
Ministry, and held several pastorates until his health failed, which led
him to early retirement. Now, at the young age of 79, Pokey has been the
recipient of many photography awards and, as a retired minister, has
turned his hobby into a full-time passion.
While he no longer speaks from the pulpit, he speaks through
the lens of his camera, by capturing and sharing the wonder and beauty of
God's creation. Pokey's photography is an important facet of
his ministry and a way in which he conveys God's love one to another.
We are thrilled and honored to be able to share Pokey Warren's beautiful
and inspiring DVD with you.
